Do you want to live a quality life? If yes, the answer is actually simple.. You need to be active in order to have a quality life. Any movement is better than none and we understand that every single person who walks into our gym is at a different level, maybe even new to exercise completely. We will meet you where you are at currently and work towards getting you to where you want to be! Although any movement is good, it is specifically important to move in a way that compliments your everyday lifestyle. CrossFit is a training style that is specifically designed to work towards functionality. You will learn to correctly lift or pull something from the ground, the position you need to be in, and how to leverage your weight in order to use stronger muscle groups, ways to squat down, how to challenge your flexibility and strength by reaching lower depths than just to the toilet seat and back. You must also increase your heart rate. Intensity is relative to the individual but it needed for building endurance and it gets endorphins pumping. Conditioning is important, but the focus of it should be to recognize what is challenging yet sustainable for you. We recognize that rest is important in order to replicate the same amount of exertion. Looks can be deceiving so it is not advised to replicate Instagram model’s fitness routines unless you have exceptional body awareness, but look for a trainer/coach who not only tells you WHAT to do but who will educate you on WHY to move in that specific way. You won’t lose all your progress over a single day or holiday weekend. We all can lose perspective sometimes and that day or weekend will not derail you from your goals. If the “plan” you’re following doesn’t allow you to enjoy a holiday with friends and family, maybe it’s not a very good plan. We do not have Thanksgiving, Christmas, or a birthday every weekend so you can celebrate the occasional holiday and still take care of yourself.
